What can I expect from an appointment with Earase?
A questionnaire will be sent to you prior to the appointment, it is important to complete this as it will help us to understand more about you and your needs.
Every appointment starts with a consultation and ear health check. We will run through your questionnaire answers together and examine your ears. Each method of wax removal will then be explained to you and we will proceed with your chosen treatment..
Occasionally there may be no need to perform wax removal. If we determine this is the case, you will only be charged the consultation fee.

What is Microsuction?
Microsuction is performed using a small suction device to dislodge and remove excess wax. It can sometimes sound a little noisy, but is a safe, clean and comfortable procedure.
What is irrigation?
Irrigation is a classic method of ear wax removal. Warm water is introduced into the ear canal at a low, pulsing pressure, to ‘flush’ or dislodge wax from your ears.
Is there anything I need to do before my appointment?
We recommend using olive oil drops prior to your appointment, as this can help to soften the wax and make it easier to remove. We recommend using 3 drops, 3 times per day for 3 days prior.
What aftercare will Earase provide?
Aftercare will be discussed during your appointment and a leaflet containing this advice will be provided. If you have had irrigation treatment you will also be given ear plugs to take home with you.
If we are unable to remove all the wax during your appointment, we will offer an additional appointment free of charge.
