What is Microsuction?

Microsuction is performed using a small suction device to dislodge and remove excess wax. It can sometimes sound a little noisy, but is a safe, clean and comfortable procedure.

What is irrigation?

Irrigation is a classic method of ear wax removal. Warm water is introduced into the ear canal at a low, pulsing pressure, to ‘flush’ or dislodge wax from your ears.

Is there anything I need to do before my appointment?

We recommend using olive oil d to your appointment, as this can help to soften the wax and make it easier to remove. We recommend using 3 drops, 3 times per day for 3 days prior.

What aftercare will Earase provide?

Aftercare will be discussed during your appointment and a leafl containing this advice will be provided. If you have had irrigation treatment you will also be given ear plugs to take home with you.

If we are unable to remove all the wax during your appointment, we will offer an additional appointment free of charge.

Does Earase cover my area?

Earase is based in Full Sutton and covers a 20 mile radius with no additional charge. We are also happy to arrange visits up to a 50 mile radius, applying an additional mileage fee.
